Infinity Train might be over but the ride isn’t done yet. I am ranking each season of the show in four categories. 1^st place gets four points, 2^nd place gets 3 points etc etc. I will then tally up all the points to see which season is the best. Keep in mind these are my personal opinion and there some spoilers so if you haven’t seen this show go watch it.

Protagonists:

4. Min-Gi and Ryan-Book 4: Although they remind me of me and my brother their arcs are just fine.

3. MT-Book 2: Her arc about individuality is really well done. She kind of reminds me of Roxas from Kingdom Hearts. You kind of forget she’s Tulip’s reflection.

2. Grace-Book 3: A well written redemption arc. It’s amazing that Cartoon Network made a toxic protagonist.

1.Tulip-Book 1: Her struggles with her parents’ divorce feel very realistic and Ashley Johnson really names it as her.

Antagonists:

The denizens mob-Book 4: These are the closest we have to an antagonist force and honestly they aren’t really much of a threat.

Reflection Police-Book 2: These guys feel more like secondary antagonists.

The Conductor/Amelia-Book 1: I really love the mystery centering around Amelia and how she’s a dark version of Tulip.

1.Simon-Book 3: I’m surprised Cartoon Network made a villain like this. Throughout the whole season you see his descent from a jerk to an irredeemable villain. He also works well as a foil for Grace.

Cars:

4. Book 3: At the cost of focusing on the story the cars here are just generic forest, jungle, and desert settings.

3. Book 4: A bunch of creative cars such as the bug western town and J.K. Simmons Pig car.

2. Book 1: Since this was a miniseries I assume the crew really wanted to show as many cars as they wanted.  

1.Book 2: The map and carnival cars are really creative and fun but what makes this the winner is the worldbuilding such as the mall car and number car.

Story:

4. Book 2: While this season’s story was good it was home the Parasite Car which is consider the only filler episode.

3. Book 4: The story was kind of predictable and the stakes felt very low.

2. Book 3: By far the darkest and most unpredictable season of the show. Every episode progresses the characters and the story.

1.Book 1: Mostly because of the mystery of the train. You not sure what it’s purpose is until the very end. It also works as a great coming of age story.

I will not deny that this year sucked. We did get great video games such as Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time and cartoons like The Owl House. Unfortunately, a lot movies got delayed until next year. But that’s not going to stop me from doing my favorite movies of the year list even though it will be reduced to 5 instead of 10.

Honorable Mention-Hamilton: This is just footage of the play so it doesn’t count. Still a good play though.

5. Tenet:

The only live action movie on this list and the last movie I’ve seen in theaters thus far. While I think the time traveling stuff is confusing and complicated it does give us some really great action scenes (some in backwards) and clever plot twists. The two leads are also really great together.

4. My Hero Academia Heroes Rising:

I said before that My Hero Academia is my favorite anime and Heroes Rising felt like a love letter to anyone (like me) who loves the anime. Everything I love from the anime is still here such as the characters (particularly class 1-A), the outstanding animation and the action scenes.

3. Onward:

A modern fantasy world isn’t the most original thing as of now but what makes this movie really charming are the brothers, both brothers played by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. Both of them are really charming and are the heart of this movie. The comedy while cliché at times does have good moments too.

2. Wolfwalkers:

Sure this movie does have the typical man vs nature story and a generic villain but Cartoon Saloon still hit it out of the park with this one. I really like the friendship between Robyn and Mebh. The character designs and backgrounds are incredibly thanks to the wonderful 2d animation.

1. Soul:

One of the most realistic and adult movies Pixar has made so far. This had a lot of existential themes that dive into questioning passion and purpose. Joe and 22 works as great foils because one doesn’t want to die and the other doesn’t want to live. Has anyone noticed that four out of five of these movies have duos?

Here’s hoping for a better year in 2021.

One of my favorite YouTubers is Schaffrillas Productions. He makes wonderfully edited and funny YouTube poops and analysis videos. He just did a huge ranking of all the Dreamworks movies which inspired me to make this list. Instead of a full ranking this is a top 10 list because it would’ve taken too long to rank all of them. These are also my personal picks.

Honorable Mention: Flushed Away

10. How to Train Your Dragon 2: Despite the weak villain there was still great stuff. I think Stoick’s death was really effective because we had a previous movie to flesh him out. I also like how badass Hiccup has become compared to the first one.

9. How to Train Your Dragon: The relationship between Hiccup and Toothless is really great and genuine. I think having Toothless act like a cat is a creative and fresh new take on dragons (especially for a cat person like me). The flying scenes are also beautiful.

8. Shrek: There are lot of adult jokes and ones that poke fun at Disney here. Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy work off each other wonderfully as Shrek and Donkey. The Fiona twist is clever and the conclusion is a well-done subversion of Disney.

7. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie: I’ve already talked about how much I love this movie in a review so I’ll say my quick thoughts. It’s really funny and clever and a love letter to the original series.   

6. The Prince of Egypt: The scale of the movie is huge, epic and grand. It’s also the most adult of the movies. The songs are epic and catchy especially the plagues song and the relationship between Moses and Ramese is tragic, complex, and genuine.

4/5. Chicken Run: Couldn’t decide which Aardman movie was better so both are tied. The first Dreamworks movie I ever saw. The idea of combining a prison escape story with a chicken farm is both unique, clever, funny and dark. The characters are likeable, the stop motion animation is astonishing.

4/5. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit: After three shorts the duo finally got their own movie. Even though this has a longer running time It still has the same heart, humor, and innocence the shorts had. The twist with the Were Rabbit is clever and also really funny especially when you find out who it is.  

3. Kung Fu Panda: The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is my favorite Dreamworks series. There first movie was awesome. Jack Black is wonderful as Po and I like how he becomes stronger throughout the movie instead of being strong to begin with (unlike Mulan 2020!). Both the action and music mix well together and the emotional moments are well done.

2. Shrek 2: These next two are top tier movies to me. Shrek 2 is just a perfect sequel. The relationship between Shrek and Fiona is at its best here and I really wanted them to stay together. The new characters are great, the Fairy Godmother is a great villain. Even the soundtrack is great, especially I need a Hero sung by the Fairy Godmother.

1. Kung Fu Panda 2: What makes a great sequel to me are a darker and edgier tone and a villain that has a personal tie to the main character. KFP2 fits all those critiques. The action is bigger and emotional scenes are more emotional. Lord Shen is one of my favorite villains of all time from his deisgn, voice, and like I said his connection to Po. It’s one of my favorite sequels of all time and my favorite Dreamworks movie.

This year marks the 30^th anniversary the Simpson’s greatest tradition, the Treehouse of Horror episode. Treehouse of Horror is the perfect way of the writers to go all out with their ideas and are wonderful to watch near Halloween time. I thought of doing a favorite segments list but a favorite episodes list was easier to do. To celebrate here are my top 5 favorite Treehouse of Horror episodes.

5.Treehouse of Horror II: The idea of each segment being one of the family member’s dream is a creative choice.

Favorite segment: The Bart Zone

4.Treehouse of Horror IV: Each segment is really memorable though I wished we got the story of the dogs playing poker.

Favorite segment: The Devil and Homer Simpson

3.Treehouse of Horror III: TOH episodes usually have a Twilight Zone parody or a movie parody, this one has both and there awesome.

Favorite segment: Clown Without Pity

2.Treehouse of Horror VI: This trio of segments are probably the biggest in terms of scale.

Favorite segment: Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace

1.Treehouse of Horror V: No surprised if you’ve seen my Halloween specials list. This episode’s segments are probably the most gruesome and darkest but still managed to be both scary and funny. Also the running gag of Groundskeeper Willie getting killed is hilarious.

Favorite segment: The Shinning

What are your favorite Treehouse of Horror episodes?

I’ve just seen Hamilton on Disney + I decided to show my top 5 favorite Broadway musicals since I really enjoy going to see musicals. I’ve seen the shows at least twice so I have a better opinion on them than the ones I’ve seen only once.

Honorable Mentions:
Hamilton: Sorry, I do think it’s a little overhyped (not much on set design) but will say that the songs are amazing. My favorite song is You’ll be Back.

5. Les Miserables: I remember first seeing this on Broadway in the front row. Everything from this musical such as the sets, the songs, the choreography, and the story are huge and epic in scale and the character’s performances are emotional and epic.

4. School of Rock: I saw this before watching the movie it’s based on and honestly I think I like the musical more. I was impressed by how the kids actually played there instruments. I even got to keep a guitar pick used in the show.

3. The Book of Mormon: I’m not a fan of South Park but I really enjoy this show. The characters are really enjoyable and funny. This also has one of the most offensive songs in any Broadway musical (if you’ve seen it you know the one) though it is enjoyable.

2. Chicago: I can’t believe my Mom let me listen to these songs as a kid. The characters are clearly not good people but their performances are great and the songs are fun especially Cell Block Tango. Fun trivia about Billy: My first time seeing this was on a cruise where Billy was played by my Dad’s friend and the 2^nd time was with John O Hurley.

1. Wicked: Anyone who saw the top picture is probably not surprised that this is number one. This is the musical I’ve seen the most times (4 times). I love everything about it from the characters, the set designs, and especially the songs. I listen to the songs all the time. It really does paint a new picture on the original story that everyone has a little bit of wickedness in them not just Elphaba.

It will be really great to see musicals again once things calm down. What are your favorite Broadway musicals?

I’ve said this before but My Hero Academia is my favorite anime. I’ve been thinking of doing this list and now that season 4 is done this is a perfect time to do it. I not ranking these in terms of how powerful they are but how likeable and well written they are, how cool there quirk is, and just personal opinion.

20. Minoru Mineta: This is the only student I don’t like. His goo ball quirk is weird and he acts like a perverted creep.

19. Koji Koda: He’s honestly not very memorable and his quirk isn’t that special but his kind heartedness does put him over gooball perve.

18. Rikido Sato: A hero that gets strong by eating sugar. Yeah “that’s a great role model for your kids”.

17. Mashirao Ojiro: Besides him having a tail there’s not much to him yet.

16. Mezo Shoji: Such an odd and creepy design and quirk yet such a good heart under him.

15. Toru Hagakure: Much like Ojiro her invisibility quirk makes up her character.

14. Yuga Aoyama: He acts all fabulous and hammy and it does get a few laughs.

13. Katsuki Bakugo: I guess he works as a good foil to Midoriya but I’m sorry he’s such a douche.

12. Hanta Sero: His quirk reminds me a lot of Spiderman’s web shooters.

11. Denki Kaminari: His electricity quirk is run of the mill but still cool.

10. Momo Yaoyorozu: Her dedication to education is only matched by Tenya. I also like how mature she is compared to everyone else.

9. Kyoka Jiro: I really like her passion for music and how her parents supported her.

8. Mina Ashido: I like how her cute personality and design balances with her deadly acid quirk.

7. Tsuyu Asui: If this anime released years ago she would’ve been my brother’s favorite character because of his love of frogs. Her design and personality fit perfectly together.

6. Shoto Todoroki: The Zuko of the anime (father of the year) and another good foil to Midoriya. I’ve always loved the idea of a character having both fire and ice superpowers.

5. Tenya Iida: There’s so much devotion he has to his class and education. His quirk is a really fun and refreshing interpretation of the super-speed superpower.

4. Izuku Midoriya: Midoriya is the perfect protagonist for this type of story. His goal of become a hero even without a quirk is compelling. He shows that it isn’t the power that makes the hero it’s the heart (corny I know).

3. Fumikage Tokoyami: He has the head of a bird how can you not think that awesome? Also his shadow quirk is awesome too.

2. Eijiro Kirishima: I really liked what I’ve saw from him in season 4. He’s just so likable to friends with.

1. Ochaco Uraraka: Her goal of becoming a hero to earn money sounds questionable but is actually more selfless because she wants to help her family. She has such a kind and bubbly personality but also badass and determined. It’s kindness and selflessness like that makes her my favorite character. FYI yes I do ship her and Midoriya.

Rick and Morty season 4 might just be my favorite season so far. I’ve enjoyed almost every episode. This list is every episode from Worst (or ok) to Best. I won’t talk about spoilers because that’ll ruin the fun so I’ll just give my one sentence opinion on each one.

10. Promortyus: The facehugger premise wasn’t that interesting to me.

9. Claw And Hoarder Special Ricktims Morty: The b-plot with the talking cat was the best part.

8. Never Ricking Morty: This had plot twist after plot twist after plot twist.

7. Childrick Of Mort: I liked seeing Rick and Beth bond and Jerry trying to prove himself.

6. Edge Of Tomorty Rick Die Rickpeat: Really good opening episode for the season.

5. The Old Man And The Seat: Rick’s side plot is hilarious and bittersweet.

4. One Crew Over The Crewcoos Morty: Crazy but fun.

3. The Vat Of Acid Episode: Goes a completely different direction after the beginning but it all leads to a great punchline.

2. Rattlestar Ricklactica: The scenes with the snakes are brilliantly hilarious.

1. Star Mort Rickturn Of The Jerri: What a perfect and bittersweet season finale, in fact this might by my favorite season finale of the show.

Considering I don’t really watch live action shows, this is also my favorite TV shows list too. I consider myself a major gamer so for no reason what so ever I’ve decided to list in my opinion are the top 10 greatest video games of all time. These games have helped shape me into the person I am today so let’s put in the quarters and let the game begin.

Honorable Mentions: Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Celeste, Fix It Felix JR, Marvel’s Avengers.

10. Sly 2: A little overrated but still pretty good.

9. Kingdom Hearts Recoded: Best game in the series!

8. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial:  Atari put so much heart and soul into the graphics and gameplay.

7. Reader Rabbit Preschool: Very difficult but worth it for the deep story.

6. Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon: These games have some of the most wonderfully animated cutscenes in video game history.

5. Moneybags the game: A spinoff of Spyro staring the best character from the series.

4. Superman 64: The controls for Superman are so great that you’ll believe a man can fly.

3. Escape From Tomorrow: This game proves that Disney and horror are a perfect match for each other.

2. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial: This game is so good I had to list it twice.

1. Busby 3d: A deep well thought out game with a charming main character, emotional storytelling and gameplay ahead of its time which is why this is my favorite video game of all time.

6. Black Widow: I already love Red Guardian.

5. No Time to Die: I might have to re-watch some of the James Bond movies to get ready for this.

4. The Mitchells vs. the Machines: I’m mostly excited because the director worked on Gravity Falls.

3. The Eternals:  The father away the release date the most excited I am.

2. Raya and the Last Dragon: Finally a non-sequel Disney animated movie.
